The Blues have been red hot ever since breaking their losing streak of 8 games. That continue with the Ducks on November 19. Before the game it was announced Tarasenko was scratched due to an illness and Kyrou would be taking his place in his line. With this move the combo of Buchnevich, Thomas, and Kyrou skyrocketed their offense against the Ducks. In the first period the Blues outshot the Ducks 16-5 with scoring the first goal by Acciari with assists by Faulk and Schenn. The Blues had some many scoring opportunities with how bad the Ducks defense performed in the first period. The Blues scored again near the end of the 2nd period by Buchnevich with assists by Thomas and Kyrou.
The Blues hot offense continued in the 2nd period with Buchnevich’s 2nd goal with assists by Thomas and Kyrou. And a goal by Schenn and assists by Buchnevich and Faulk. The Ducks were then able to score on a power play with a minor tripping penalty on Rosen by Fowler. The Ducks power play is currently ranked last in the league. The Blues were able to score on a power play goal of their own from a high-sticking minor by Silfverberg with Krug scoring the goal with the assists of Kyrou and Buchnevich.
The Ducks defense got more aggressive in the 3rd and got their second power play goal from a slashing minor by Faulk scored by Henrique. The Blues finally put an end to the Ducks momentum with a goal by Krug with assists by Kyrou and Buchnevich. Five seconds till the end of the 3rd there a was fight between Tucker of the Blues and Carrick of the Ducks. The Blues win the game 6-2 over the Ducks. The Blues face the Ducks again next game at home on Monday November 21.
