Kordell Jackson, the standout defensive back known for his tenacity and skill, has been claimed by the Orlando Guardians.

Jackson’s journey from Austin Peay University to the IFL has been remarkable. Spending five years with Austin Peay (2017-2021), Jackson carved a legacy of excellence. He scored an astonishing 30 award recognitions, a testament to his prowess on the field. The Birmingham, Alabama native’s crowning achievement was earning three consecutive First Team All-OVC selections from 2019 to 2021.

Jackson’s impact on the Frisco Fighters’ defense in the 2023 season was undeniable, leading the league in interceptions and passes defended. His 31 pass breakups and eight interceptions, three of which resulted in touchdowns, solidified his position as a true defensive force.

On the other hand, the San Antonio Brahmas are gaining the dual-threat quarterback dynamo, TJ Edwards.

Edwards’ football journey, marked by versatility and skill, began with the Fighters in 2021, where he played a pivotal role in the team’s success—his debut season showcased his exceptional passing and rushing abilities, earning him recognition as a premier dual-threat quarterback in the IFL.

Edwards’ impact extended beyond the 2023 season, during which he led the Fighters to a league-high 14 wins and earned the prestigious title of 2023 League Most Valuable Player. His 853 rushing yards and 49 rushing touchdowns, 2,600 passing yards, and 39 passing touchdowns, showcased his ability to dominate both on the ground and in the air.
