The Dallas Wings locked up a playoff spot a few games ago, but now know what seed they will be going into the WNBA playoffs.
In their final home game of the regular season, the Dallas Wings took care of business against the Seattle Storm winning 106-91.
The Wings got off to a fast start in the game taking a 32-20 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. They outrebounded the Storm 36-23 in the contest.
Natasha Howard led the way for Dallas in points with 23 points adding nine rebounds and four assists. Howard made eight of her 12 field goals in the contest including three of five from three-point land.
Satou Sabally scored 21 points for Dallas while Arike Ogunbowale also adding 19 points. Teaira McCowan and Kalani Brown combined for 28 points and 14 rebounds at center.
The win for Dallas locks them in to the fourth seed in the WNBA playoffs and guarantees home games in game 1 and 2 in the first round. Their first round opponents have not been determined yet.
Dallas has one last game of the season Sunday as they take on the Atlanta Dream. Depending on the result of the game, it could be a potential preview of a first round matchup.
The Wings have been 6-4 in the last ten games with some inconsistency going 4-4 the last eight games. What has helped Dallas during this stretch is their offense that has scored over 90 points six times in the last ten games going 5-1 in those six games.
If the Wings can improve their defense and find some consistency, they could be a legitimate threat in the playoffs.
