Quad City Steamwheelers Stars Joe Krall and CJ Windham Jr. Sign with San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL

In a remarkable turn of events, two standout athletes from the Quad City Steamwheelers in the Indoor Football League (IFL) have had their rights reserved by the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL, marking a significant milestone in their football careers.

Joe Krall and CJ Windham Jr., whose talent has shone brightly in the IFL, will now embark on a new journey in the XFL, and fans can’t wait to see what they bring to the field.

Joe Krall, a 6’4″ and 325-pound offensive lineman, was a force to be reckoned with during his two seasons with the Steamwheelers in 2022 and 2023. His exceptional performance in 2022 earned him a well-deserved spot on the All-Rookie IFL team. Krall’s football journey began at Monmouth College, where he honed his skills and developed into a formidable presence on the offensive line. His size, agility, and determination make him an asset to any team, and the Brahmas are fortunate to have him on board.

CJ Windham Jr., a 6’3″ and 215-pound wide receiver, electrified Steamwheelers fans during his 2023 season. With a solid college football career at Middle Tennessee State under his belt, Windham Jr. boasts an impressive record of 107 receptions, 1,329 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns across 56 games. His stats reflect his prowess as a receiver, and his ability to make big plays is second to none. San Antonio Brahmas is eager to utilize his talents in the XFL.

Interestingly, both Krall and Windham Jr. were part of the IFL-XFL Showcase in Las Vegas, where their skills caught the attention of XFL scouts. With the most significant representation at the event, San Antonio had an eye for talent, and these two athletes fit the bill perfectly.

As Joe Krall and CJ Windham Jr. transition from the IFL to the XFL, they bring a wealth of experience and the determination to excel at the next level.
